Summary:
Jenna Odile planned to spend the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday partying with her friends before she cast a spell to find her truemate.
Before she can, she’s captured by a group of criminally-minded werewolves who want to use her fae-abilities to commit crimes. Poisoned and left for dead, she used the last of her strength to cast the spell for her truemate, hoping that he would find her before it was too late.

The last thing Logan Anderson wanted to do with his Saturday evening was watch over the young male wolves in his pack while they attended a dance in hopes of finding their mates. As the night wore on, he began to feel compelled to leave, and his instincts led him to race into the woods at the side of the highway. In the darkness of the woods, he finds a woman near death, who begs him to protect her. Now, nothing is more important than helping her get well. He’ll deal with those who hurt her… later.

This story contains a male werewolf with a dark past, a fairy who can’t wait to find her truemate, and the betrayal that brings them together. Features hot werewolf-fairy loving, mythical creatures, full moon madness, and lots of neck biting.

My Review:
The 6th installment in R.E's Butlers Wolf's Mate Series see's Roguish Wolf Logan with a heart of gold find his true mate in the beautiful Fairy Jenna.

Logan & Jenna's story starts with a bang, when Jenna is kidnapped & left stranded in our realm with only the hope her true mate will find her in time & sweep her off her fairy feet which of course Logan defiantly does in a very alpha way.

Ok while I'm on the subject of this Big Bad wolf I might as well get all my drooling & gushing out of the way  cause seriously Logan is soo worthy drooling over.. from his sexy ass tats to deliciously  ripped abs, his strong alpha possessiveness to his sweet & protective nature There nothing to dislike about this too hot too handle bad boy....

  description

Jenna was sweet & strong, she wasn't a awfully unique heroine but for all intents & purposes was a very likable character. The romance between the two was sweet & the sex was hot which is something i have come to expect & totally love about r.e's novel.

  description

There's always some rouge trying to kidnap  the heroine (in this it's  case Jenna) & her wolf in shinning arm (Logan) which rushes in & save her, again something I've come to expect, there's some sweet & tender romance, uber hot & always unique  sex scenes, some of my favorite Characters from previous novels will reappear, all  before a nicely wrapped up HEA.....

yes sometimes it can be a bit predictable (especially if you've read others in the series) & even a wee bit clique but that's what I like about it, I know even tho all this bad stuff will happen the mated pair will still walk happily into the sunset.

after all You can't beat a happily ever after, cause in the end isn't that what we all want.

Review: Riley's Secret By Christina Smith

Riley's Secret (a Moon's Glow Novel)

By Christina Smith

Rating:♥♥♥1/2

Lovers of teen young adult fiction will totally gobble up Riley's Secret...
  description
With its blossoming of young  love, a cloak of darkness & mystery,  a drop dead gorgeous honey & a hint of teenage drama... It really is a perfect YA novel.

GoodReads Summary:

Megan Banks feels like an imposter in her own life; she doesn’t belong with her friends or with her parents, who ignore her. After a fire she’s indirectly involved with, she finds herself with two hundred hours of community service. It’s the charity she volunteers at that finally makes her feel like she belongs. These people, with whom she has nothing in common, mean more to her than her rich, selfish friends.
But for some reason her supervisor, Nate Green, doesn’t want her there. He thinks she’s a self-centered rich girl who deserves to be in jail. After she’s threatened by the kids who started the fire, Nate and Megan form a strange friendship, built only for her protection. But the more she feels for him, the more he pushes her away.As they become closer, Megan knows Nate is attracted to her as well, but she also believes that he is hiding something. But she could never guess what he really is. Before she realizes what is happening, she becomes involved in a world she didn't know existed. In this strange new reality, can she finally find a place where she belongs?
My Review:

I have to admit i didn't like megan to start with, it's not so much I hated her it's just after reading Riley's Curse I had some pretty hight expectations of the girl who would be good enough for such an amazing, gorgeous & caring guy.
once I got into the story a bit more, I started to quite like her, she was sweet, strong, responsible and caring.

But Then.. i started to dislike Nate, his character just seemed so different from the riley's curse the prequel, stalking a girl you like...Is creepy.  then breaking in to said girl's friends house to jump in bed with her while she's asleep is extremely creepy! seriously....
  description
.... Where'd the hot caring & not creepy guy go!

But seeing as it was written from a different POV I let it slip & towards the end I found myself falling back in love with him.

  description

Christina has done a lovely job at writing Riley's Curse.
There were moments of utter giggling, moments where I was close to tears at the sheer tenderness shown between the characters & moments of disbelief because of the cold & emptiness shown in other characters.
It was a real mixed bag.

But like with any novel it wasn't all smooth sailing, there were moments were I couldn't help but roll my eyes at how clique it was, through out the start I felt like I was reading some boring sleep over club novel filled with high school politics & pillow fights, which thankfully slowly morphed into a wonderful ya paranormal romance novel I was more then happy to read.

Would I re-read it?
 Probably not.

Would I recommend it?
If your into teen/young adult fiction...oh yes.

Would I read more in the series?
yes, probably to find out if they actually ever have sex! I have a dirty mind & I know it!...lol

My Review:

I became the Riley family secret. -  Nate Riley.

We all say we don't judge books by there covers or categorize them before even opening the pages, but that's bull.....!

we all do it and I'm totally guilting of doing it with Riley's Curse. In my head it was under a mainstream young adult romance with a paranormal twist, but what I found  was more of a paranormal coming of age story, with a fresh take on "werewolves"

description

I was leaving the only place I felt at home, everything and everyone I ever knew, to make a new life. I didn't know how to be a werewolf and I couldn't help feeling as I made my way alone through the deserted roads, that my life was over. - Nate Riley.

Christina has done a really great job setting the scene  for Riley's Secret.  It cant have been easy writing through a males point of view, especially a teenaged males point of view but she really pulled it off, even if at times the narration seemed flat.

  description

I once loved the forest at night. The romance of the unknown was exciting. -Nate Riley.

I loved seeing Nate grow,  evolve and go through what most people would associate with becoming a werewolf, he felt real human emotions, regreat, loss, self pity, anger & loneliness my only complaint would be that sometimes I felt that the story Was rushed particularly at  key moments.

Even though I tried to keep people at a distance, I couldn't with Sadie. In the last few hours, Sadie Clark had managed to slither her way into my heart. I would look after her, and help her in any way I could. - Nate Riley

Riley's Curse isn't a full novel it's a novella that gives some back ground info on nathaniel Riley, so in that respect it very much delivers what it promised and now I'm all clued up on the werewolf cutie Nate I'm off to read Riley's Secret!

Would I recommend it?  Yes (but if I had the choice again I would read Riley's secret first)

Would I re-read it?  Probably not.

Am I Excited about the Second Book?  Very Much So.

Review: The Heat by Heather Killough Walden

The Heat (The Big Bad Wolf #1)

By Heather Killough Walden.

Rating:♥♥♥
Author's Website: Here
Goodreads:Here

synopsis:
Lily St James returns to her home town Baton Rouge in Louisiana & quickly falls back in love with her high school crush the tall, handsome & arrogant Daniel Kane. Lily is suddenly swept of her feet when she discovers she's a werewolf dormant who has two strong alpha weres wanting her as there mate.

Review:
I'll try to  not to give too much away this time, so I'm going to be quite vague..

The Heat wasn't particularly good nor was it particularly bad it was just ok. Some parts I really liked, the writting flowed nicely & the chracters seemed likable and the sexual tension was hot! But suddenly then it turn on its head. The writting dragged on and some of the plots seemed to be thrown in just to take up space but most Annyoing was the female lead, Lily St James. She started of as such a kick ass heroine then she turn into a submissive horn bag! I really like the concept of were-wolf dormants but I don't think the author got it quite right.

Review:

This book rocked.  After reading the prequel, Riley’s Curse, I was pretty much salivating for more and Riley’s Secret did not disappoint.

In this segment of A Moon’s Glow Series, Megan Banks is forced to do community service at Riley House, a place that helps those in need get back on their feet. When shehas a run-in with her supervisor, Nate Green, she doesn’t understand why he hates her.  But, soon it becomes all too clear that he doesn’t actually hate her, but he’s hidingsomething, and she is determined to find out what that something is.  Will she be able tosurvive the truth?  You’ll have to read this awesome book to find out.

Smith gives us a new side of Nate as he struggles to keep Megan at an arm’s length.  He starts out as a bit of a dumbass, which actually helps to turn his character from a blossom to a full and lushes bloom.  I found myself cursing him, loving him, and probably most importantly, feeling compassion for him.  He makes some stupid choices, and this makes him all the more real and easy to relate to.   Let’s face it, real life is full of stupid and sometimes mindless choices.

Smith took the simple idea of “wolves mating for life” and added a supernatural twist.  I have to admit, I’m a sucker for soulmates.  There is something so magical about the idea of having one and only one “mate”.  What I loved about this book is that it showed how powerful true love can be.  You can try to run, hope to hide, but when you find that person, even if being with them could mean certain death for both of you, you just can’t fight it.  It’s inevitable; you cannot hide for your perfect mate.

The writing flowed smoothly; the characters were fantastic, and the plot was gripping.  Smith never let the life of her characters get too comfortable, which in turn gives us, the reader, a book packed full of page turning suspense.

I highly recommend Riley’s Secret by Christina Smith and definitely will be counting the days for the next part of Megan and Nate’s story.

Review:The Wolfs Mate Book #2 Linus and the Angel by R.E. Butler

The Wolfs Mate Book 2#
Linus & the Angel
by R.E. Butler.

R.E Butler's Website:Here
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
*Adult Content Warning*

Not sure where to start with this review so I'll start with Linus omg I think.. No scratch that I know I'm in love with him! Finally a werewolf who's sensitive, romantic, kind, sexy as hell & protective of his mate (but not in some creepy possessive way). Karly I loved from the get go, a female character who was strong, sexy, curvaceous & with self confidence but was still sweet, feminine & petite, something I haven't read in awhile.

The story was light hearted & beautifully romantic with some more serious & meaningful undertones.

It was a lot more romance rather then erotica like the first book The wolfs mate:Jason & Candace (which I defiantly recommend you read if you haven't yet).

It was the perfect mix of sex, love, lust & romance with out seeming like watching (reading) a dirty peek show.

"She was his sweet angel mate and he would spend the rest of his life loving her to the best of his ability." - The Wolfs Mate Book 2: Linus & The Angel.

Review: Wicked Werewolf Secret.

description

Wicked Werewolf Secret by Lisa Renee Jones.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
*Adult Content Warning*

Hero: Kole Smith.
Heroine: Sarah.
Sex Rating: 3.1
Overall Rating: 3.8

Summary:
Kole Smith will soon become the leader of his pack, and not just any pack. He will lead the Royal Guard of the Werewolf Society. Before he accepts his role, he has unfinished business and her name is Sarah.

Sarah’s family ran the Casino Operation used as a front for The Werewolf Society, until the greed of the rebels trying to overthrow their government led to her families murder. Kole saved her life, gave her the opportunity to live, and to deliver the vengeance she craves against the rebels.

When they meet again, their passion will explode in a firestorm that will either heal the pain of the past or destroy them forever.

Review: I loved reading more about kole (who you meet in wicked werewolf night), his role in the society & the society in general. The chemistry between Kole & Sarah was electric & intriguing, but lacked in certain points & the plot became somewhat erratic & unpolished, i still enjoyed it obviously it just needed more refinement plot wise.

Review:The Wolf's Mate. Book #3 Callie and The Cats.

The Wolf's Mate, Callie & The Cats.
By R.E. Butler.
Rating: ♥♥♥♥
*Adult Content Warning*

Introducing The Newest "The Wolfs Mate" Heartthrob.....Ethan!
& his Equally drop dead sexy, devious and oh so naughty twin Eyrx!

Yep it double the deliciousness with these identical twin, police mountain lions, Callie sure does have her hands full.

I've been dying to read this since I got it(as a comp freebie.....thanx r.e.!), but with a heap of study to do I decided it to be my little treat when I finished, and right after I sent off my last assignment I picked up the Callie & the cats and was taken right back to the pack, not that I stayed long, I was almost immediately swept up in Callie's push for independence & freedom & found my self cheering her along the way.

This it a sweet & Light hearted romantic read with some tantalizing sex scenes thrown in for good measure.
I love r.e's writing it just flows perfectly as well as having the perfect mix of romance, sex, friendship & life.
Three-way relationship's are always hard to pull of but r.e. pulled it off beautifully.

There where points where my affection for Callie began to waver, I admit I wasn't much of a fan of her in the first book but I started to like her quite quickly because she reminded me a lot of me, but at the same time I disliked her for that same damn reason I was getting a bit on the offensive when the "cats rule, wolfs drool" routine started & really couldn't make up my mind up on who's side I'm on Cade's or Callies????.... Hmmm...but not enough to bump it lower then 4.5, it's still a great book.

I don't think I would have really cared what happened I simply love this pack & all there members & just love reading about them, I do hope Callie & her pride make an appearance
In book four but other wise it's a really satisfying ending.
I can't wait for michael's story & Bo's maybe??..... Anticipation much.
