Book Review: Claimed by the Alphas Book 1,2 and 3 By Viola Rivard

~Claimed by The Alpha's~
Book 1, & 3
By Viola Rivard

~Book 1~

For Mila Foster, the idea of becoming an alpha wolf’s mate is so tantalizing that she is willing to leave her human life behind to join the Lazarus pack. Their alpha, the handsome and sensual Asch, is more than she could have ever hoped for, and Mila is beyond ready to surrender herself to him. That is, until she finds out that the Lazarus pack has a second alpha, the dominant and primitive Caim.

Caim’s wolf lurks very close to the surface. He likes the lean and taut females of his own kind, women who can handle the aggressive mating he enjoys. He has no interest in Mila, that is, until he gets his hands on her lush curves.

Claimed by the Alphas: Part One is 17,000 words of werewolf/BBW romance. It is the first entry in the Claimed series, chronicling Mila Foster's efforts to hold her new pack together by accepting the claim of both of its alphas. The series will contain strong sexual themes and ménage romance, and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

~Book 2~
After a heated confrontation between the two alphas, Mila realizes that teaching them to share her is a pretty lofty goal. As she begins to have major doubts about her place in their world, it’s up to Asch to show her why she is just the woman his pack needs.

Caim never wanted to like Mila, but now that he’s had her, he wants her all to himself. But after a hard lesson, he has to face the fact that he may not be able to give the human everything she needs on his own.

Can the pair of dominant alphas really share Mila? And if so, is she ready to take them both on?

Claimed by the Alphas: Part Two is 12,500 words of werewolf/BBW romance. It is the second entry in the Claimed series, and contains strong sexual themes and ménage romance. It is a sequel and is not intended as a standalone episode.

Asch and Caim may have agreed to share, but neither alpha seems to want to play nice. Between Asch’s sudden possessiveness and Caim’s ever-growing list of obnoxious stipulations to their arrangement, Mila is at her wit’s end.

With the mating thrall just days away and neither alpha making any concessions, Mila has to figure out what both males really want, and how to give it to them.

Claimed by the Alphas: Part Three is 16,000 words of werewolf/BBW romance. It is the third entry in the Claimed series, and contains strong sexual themes and ménage romance. It is a sequel and is not intended as a standalone episode.

Whoa..Claimed the Alpha's was one hot, wild Ride!

I was only planning on reading the first novel in the series which is free on Amazon but as per usual i ended up getting hooked & quickly devoured two more in the series.
At around 15,000 words there a quick & easy, with a story line that actually makes sense!
I'm not going to lie & say it's a whimsical romance novel because it definitely not, it down & dirty & filled with sexy as hell werewolves!
& i loved it, especially because one of the Alpha's, Asch was everything I've ever wanted in a 'Alpha'....He was sweet, strong, sexy as hell & HE HAD AUBURN HAIR!
so most girls aren't into the whole 'ginger" look but i love it!..lol

but Caim on the other hand annoyed the hell out of me! He was an absolute ass hole! between him & Mila selfishness i just couldn't read any more.
But that being said i still really enjoyed the first three novels in the series & defiantly recommend it too anyone looking for a hot little ride!

A Superbly Spellbinding & Sensational Series I'm going to Miss!

Tho it was bitter sweet Saying good bye to Chracters who have become like old friends, The Soul's Mark:CHANGED Was utterly Fangtastic & I loved every minute of it!

~ Summary from Goodreads ~
Karma Points is cursed. Cursed with a stupid name and the inability to lose her virginity. She's on a mission to lose her virginity before she turns twenty if it's the last thing she does.

One night, her good friend Eva brings her to an underground club where Karma meets a tattooed bouncer. He’s far from the clean-cut type she normally falls for, which makes her think this finally might be the night she crosses the threshold of womanhood.

Excited, she goes home with the bouncer named Jax and as always, her dreams crash down once again. Jax cannot believe she is willing to give away her virginity to a stranger she met at a club. As the only son with five sisters and a widowed mom, he can't morally go through with it, even though he's never been more tempted in his life.

Unwilling to let her walk away he strikes a deal. Karma has to spend three weeks dating him and then decide if she wants to have sex or walk away.

~ My Review ~
Unintentional Virgin was a fun read with a great romance and a bit of drama.

Karma Points (love her name) is determined to lose her virginity before she turns twenty.  She hasn't had the best luck with guys, but with the help of her best friend, they come up with a plan to help her get the deed done.

The girls head off to a club looking for the perfect guy for Karma.  She meets Jax, the sexy, tough bouncer, and to her surprise he’s actually interested in her.  But when Jax finds out she’s just looking to lose her virginity he can’t do it.  Instead, he comes up with a compromise.  Karma has to spend three weeks dating him.  If she still wants him to be her first after the three weeks he’ll do it.

I wasn't a huge fan of Karma in the beginning.  She came across as a bit of a brat, but I warmed up to her in the end.  However, even if I wasn't a fan of Karma, I loved Jax.  He might be a tough guy, but his mom raised him well.  He was protective and respectful.

I have to say I loved the “bucket list” dates.  They kept the story moving along and watching Karma face her fears was definitely entertaining.

Overall, this was a quick, fun read.  It kept me laughing and there was enough action to keep me turning the pages.  Great book!

~ Reviewing Slump ~

So as you've probally notice i haven't done any reviews in a really long time.. i could blame it on my personal life or school work but it's basically cause im in a reviewing slump.
I've had periods of time i just could not get on the computer or even find the time to pick up a book..but not lately, lately i've just been seriously sucky at writting reviews
& it sucks!

It's not that i don't like the novels ive read lately, cause i've had some pretty kick arse reads..i just have no idea where to even start...

Which leaves me frustrated then i throw a tantrum & completetly forgot what i was trying  to write in the first place..

So if anyone has any writting/reviewing advice that would be sweet!

Cheers

Chace’s magic has not yet resurfaced, and he suspects it’s because he’s meant to earn back all he callously traded away – including Skylar’s love. Before their tenuous relationship can grow, he must learn what it means to put the life of another ahead of his own. But he must learn quickly or he risks losing Skylar and those she’s destined to protect.

~ My Review ~
A great ending to the Heart of Fire series!

Charred Hope answered a lot of my question, including if Chace would grow up and get his magic back, what happened to Sky’s mom, whether or not Chace and Sky would defeat their enemy, and whether they would end up together.

I loved watching Sky as she explored her new power as the shifter protector, and when she figured out exactly what she could do for the first time, I found myself laughing out loud.

I loved Mason and Gunner in this installment.  And surprisingly, I even liked Chace.  I really didn’t think I could like him after the first book, but he finally became the guy I wanted him to be.

There was action, romance, suspense.  Everything flowed so well.  There were a few places where I would have liked more information.  Some events felt as if they were just brushed over, and although my questions were answered, I still wanted more of an explanation, particularly with Sky’s mom.  But overall I was satisfied with how it all played out.

What else can I say?  I loved, loved, loved the ending.  It totally made me smile.  Just perfect!

Overall, the Heart of Fire series was entertaining, especially this last book.  If you love paranormal romance with shifters, then this series is a must read.

Musical Monday #2

Any one who knows me knows i'm simply obsessed with music, I listen to it all day everyday & sometimes i even add tracks to go with my book reviews but I didn't think that was enough so I came up with Musical Monday, not the most original idea ever..but hey it works. So what's it about you ask..well to put it simply it's just me gushing about the music I love, it might be an up coming album, a classic I just can't get enough of or just some sweet tunes I reckon you need to hear but either way I promise you it'll rock...now enough of the talking & on to the Music!
p.s.sorry i haven't posted one in ages, I've had some technical difficulties with the video's but hopefully it will work from now on. :)

~This Weeks Sweet Tune~
Riptide by Vance Joy
The first time i heard this song it was a cold rainy winter day & as soon as i heard that uplifting Unukalhai i was addicted, it's catchy, cute & fun to sing along to which makes the perfect song & his a Melbourne artist to boot!
& Almost a year later & i'm still addicted as i was when i first heard it.
If you like this track head on over Triple J Unearthed where there's heaps of free unsigned Aussie music just waiting to be heard & loved..after all Triple J Unearthed is where Lorde first started!
