Summary from Goodreads

Sophia's family has skeletons, but they aren't in their graves.

At twenty-two, practicing Wiccan Sophia Parsons is scratching out a living waiting tables in her Rocky Mountain hometown, a pariah after a string of unsolved murders with only one thing in common: her.

Sophia can imagine lots of ways to improve her life, but she'd settle for just getting rid of the buzzing noise in her head. When the spell she casts goes wrong, the static turns into voices. Her personal demons get company, and the newcomers are dangerous.

One of them is a man named Charles, who Sophia falls for despite her better judgment. He has connections that might help her unveil the mystery surrounding her ancestor's hanging, but she gets more than she bargains for when she finally decides to trust him.

Survival in his world, she learns, means not asking questions and staying out of the immortal council's way. It's a line she crossed long ago. If Sophia wants to survive the council and save the people she loves, she must accept who she is, perform dark magic, and fight to the death for her freedom.

The Forever Girl is a full-length Paranormal Fantasy novel that will appeal to lovers of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, witches, vampires, ghosts, paranormal mystery, and paranormal horror.

My Review
Love, lust, passion, and a new take on immortals. Yup, this book had it all, and it was completely absorbing.

First, I have to say that the writing in this book was beautiful. Every page was filled with easily imaginable scenes and incredible descriptions. It was this wonderful writing that kept me flipping pages until the very end.

I loved Sophia. She is strong, makes her own decisions and most importantly she fights for what she believes in. Although, at times I wanted to yell, STOP THINKING SO MUCH, it was also those same thoughts that made her so relatable. Hamilton did a wonderful job building Sophia’s character into someone who readers can easily love and respect.

Another thing that I really enjoyed was the Wiccan history that was laced throughout the story. Hamilton clearly did her research and portrayed Wiccan beliefs flawlessly.

Oh, and I can’t forget about the brilliant sexual tension that led to the great love scene between Sophia and her hottie immortal, Charles.

Even though the writing was excellent, the characters were awesome and the storyline was fresh there were a couple of things that really frustrated me. The story was going; I was completely lost, sucking in the pages as fast as I could, and then…Information Overload happened—a pile of background information was just dumped in. Unfortunately, this ripped me from the story, and I wasn’t able to find my way back into it for a good 25 pages.

During the information dump, there were also a few scenes that in the end, I felt were just page filler and they ended up taking away from the story instead of enhancing it. This left me disappointed because these scenes really could have developed into something incredible.

Even with these drawbacks, I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read more in this series. The Forever Girl: Sophia’s Journey is definitely a must read.
