GoodReads Summary:
For almost four years, Kitty Langley has been part of a ‘mean girls’ group called the Bee Hives, the most hated and feared girls at West Windrake High. That is until she witnesses their relentless attack on her former childhood friend. Making a drastic decision, she takes a stand against the dreaded B’s and thus becomes their new enemy and number one target. Now an outcast, not only of the B’s but of the entire school, she will have to pull from her inner strength as she prepares for the persecution she will face in the name of revenge.

Reed Reynolds is not looking for trouble. He just wants to get through his senior year and work on his music in peace. But when he mistakenly kisses Kitty Langley at their annual Masquerade Dance, he is both appalled and intrigued, never having experienced a kiss so powerful. Reed soon finds himself drawn in by this new Kitty and her tolerance for her so called ‘deserved punishment’. But will he endanger himself to defend her against the B’s and the entire school in the name of honor—or more importantly, in the name of love?

My Review:
What a wonderful story.  Not only is there a giggly school girl romance but Kinney tackles the ever-present issue of schoolyard bullying in this novella.
Kitty, who at one time was one of the “mean girls” walked into school one morning and decided to stand up to her so-called friends.  After that, she became the victim, not only to the bullies, but also to everyother student whom she had hurt in the past.
After a unexpected and—awkward—first meeting, Reed, the knight in shining armor (who is a hottie), swoops in and tries to save the day.  Will he succeed?  Well, you’ll have to read Exposing Kitty Langley to find out.
I loved everything about this story.  The characters were well developed, likeable and fun and the moral was perfect for young adults.  Kitty was a strong lead.  She had a great outlook on life, and although she had her moments where she couldn’t see past the torment, she still managed to keep her head held high.
Reed, Kitty’s love interest, was a great counterpart.  He was strong, protective, sweet; the list goes on and on.  He was the perfect hero.
Exposing Kitty Langley was a delightful mix of valuable life lessons, sweet romance, and nail biting action.  I would definitely recommend it and will certainly be reading it again.
Side note: I have to add, I was so excited to see Charity and Levi again, but I still want more.  DeAnna, please, please, please, write more of their story.
