Summary from Goodreads:
The Cape Beanery of Cape May, NJ, has been around a long time, long enough to have stories to tell of the Old Kind of the Doorknob Society Saga. Filled with short stories concerning favorites such as the valiant Chloe Masters, the brainiac Edgar Magnus and the enigmatic James Nightshade.

Whether you're a DS or Guilder you'll be sure to enjoy this Novella of short stories from the Doorknob Society Saga.

My Review:
I must say, this book of short stories was fantastic.  They flowed seamlessly with the series, adding some great scenes that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Sometimes with short stories, especially when they are scattered bits and pieces of a series, they don’t live up to the full length books.  It’s no easy task writing a short scene that fits perfectly with the existing novels and also gives a great tale to the reader.  I’m glad to say, Fletcher did not disappoint.  The writing flowed smoothly and the vivid descriptions and exciting tales had me emerged into these stories from the first page.

I really liked that with each story, Fletcher took care to let us, the reader, know where the story fell into the series.  It was a nice little reminder of what had been happening in the characters lives before diving in, and it really made the stories that much more enjoyable.

Oh, and for all you Nightshade fans (yes, I’m one of them), there is a wonderful tale in there for you.  When I finished this one I actually flipped back and read it again right away.  Loved it!

If you’ve read The Doorknob Society Saga, then make sure to pick this one up.  You won’t be disappointed.
